Values & Principles

Promoting the health of self-identified women and girls through provision of low-barrier health programs and services, sharing knowledge and providing health education in a safe environment.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We welcome all people who self-identify as women and girls, Two-spirited, transgender and non-binary people and their children and recognize the diversity of women at every life stage through culturally appropriate and inclusive programs and services. We enhance equity by removing barriers that limit women’s capacity.

Empowerment

We respect and support women in making informed decisions about their health and wellness needs and outcomes. We recognize women as active participants in all of our services.

Woman-Centered

We recognize the unique backgrounds and influences that shape women’s health and wellness including the barriers she experiences in accessing services. Gender-based discrimination and violence, sexism, racism and colonialism are key contributors to trauma-related behaviours impacting health. We are committed to providing trauma-informed care through practices that promote safety, empowerment and healing.

Care & Collaboration

We work with community partners, service agencies and health providers to provide care holistically with compassion and without judgement. Our work fosters mutual trust, respect, and connection for women accessing health and wellness services and prevents harm.
